Mayu is built by parents, for parents. Protecting your family's privacy, and especially your child's, is part of the product, not an afterthought. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the promises we hold ourselves to.

Our core promises

No ads, now or ever. We never sell your data. There are no purchases aimed at your kid: you set and fund every reward yourself.

Information we collect

To run Mayu we collect the minimum we need: a parent account (email address for sign-in and account recovery), the kid profiles a parent creates (a first name or nickname, an avatar, and an age or grade band), and learning activity (skills practiced, progress, and stars earned) so the game can adapt and parents can see real progress. We also collect basic technical and usage data needed to keep the app working and secure.

Children's privacy

Mayu is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Kid profiles are created by the parent, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond what the parent provides and the in-game learning activity described above. We do not use children's data for advertising or sell it. We aim to comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA and GDPR-K. If you believe a child has provided us information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.

How we use information

We use the data above to provide and improve the learning experience, adapt content to each kid, show parents progress, operate the reward economy you define, and keep the service secure. We do not use it to advertise to you or your child.

How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Mayu (for example, hosting and authentication), under agreements that limit their use of it, or where required by law.

Data retention and your rights

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your family's data at any time by contacting us.
